R&D Projects

The CENIT-E OCEAN LÍDER project is an ambitious Spanish technology initiative promoted by a consortium of companies with strong research capabilities. The project addresses the challenge of developing the necessary technologies to set up integrated installations that can harness renewable marine energies, such as waves and tidal currents.

The project’s main aim is to conduct research in the breakthrough technologies needed for the setting up of integrated facilities for the exploitation of renewable ocean energy sources, such as wave energy and currents as well as hybrid systems: wave/wind energy and currents/wind energy). This is a 30 million € program promoted by the Spanish Ministry for Innovation. More than 20 companies are involved in this 4-year development program.

We have defined and developed our own software tools based on LCOE (Levelised energy cost) criteria for optimization models.
